    A Colorful Bunch

Disease resistant colorful fruit describes three melons from D. Palmer Seed Co. Double Dew is a hybrid honeydew that weighs between 10 and 12 pounds with flesh that has a lime-green outer ring and an orange interior ring. The melon is tolerant to cucumber mosaic virus and powdery mildew race 1. Another hybrid honeydew, Morning Dew, also has a strong tolerance to powdery mildew and cucumber mosaic virus.

On the gourmet side, Orange Sherbet is an Eastern shipper that is round to oval in shape. This melon is powdery mildew (race 2) and Fusarium race 1 and 2 tolerant.

A fourth variety from D. Palmer is the hybrid zucchini squash, Obsidian. This dark-green elongated variety is tolerant to zucchini yellow mosaic virus, squash leaf curl virus, and powdery mildew race 2.
