A new large diameter industrial ceiling fan increases the area of air circulation in packing houses.
Large diameter, low-speed industrial fans from Lexington, KY-based Big Ass Fan Co. are designed to circulate air either in tandem with HVAC systems or on their own. The fans provide an efficient and effective air movement solution for agricultural settings.
Released in May, the company’s newest fan, Powerfoil X2.0, which is 8 to 24 feet in diameter, introduces a unique patented airfoil system. This system combines patented airfoils and winglets with patent-pending AirFence technology to increase overall coverage by 28%.
The winglet improves airfoil effectiveness by eliminating turbulence at the tip, while the AirFence captures air that would otherwise slip off the end of the airfoil.
According to the company, the Powerfoil X2.0, not only increases the coverage area, it includes tried-and-true features of the orginal fan, such as the patented NitroSeal gearbox for maximum durability and cool operation. In addition, thorough testing and a host of durability enhancements led the company to offer a non-prorated 15-year warranty on the new Powerfoil X2.0.
