In the June 25 issue of “Vineyard Notes” from Cornell University’s Finger Lakes Grape Program, plant pathologist Wayne Wilcox offers an annual update and review on controlling fungal diseases of grapes in Eastern climates. The review is a collaboration of a team of grape pathologists at Cornell’s research station in Geneva, including faculty colleagues (David Gadoury and Bob Seem); research technicians (the now–retired Duane Riegel, and Judy Burr); and graduate students and post-docs.

This update covers new disease control products and label updates, advice on dealing with fungicide resistance, and tips on controlling a variety of diseases that can attack grapes, including powdery mildew, downy mildew, black rot, botrytis, and phomopsis.
