New Infographic Touts Benefits Of Produce
Western Growers hopes to help protect America’s nutritious food supply.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, then an infographic can be worth at least 1,001. Western Growers (WG), which has represented local and regional family farmers growing fresh produce in Arizona and California since 1926, is currently rolling out a campaign to help educate opinion leaders like elected representatives and journalists. The association — which provides half the nation’s fresh fruits and vegetables, including a third of America’s fresh organic produce — will show what Western Growers farmers do and what they require in order to continue to be able to provide nutritious fresh fruits, vegetables, and tree nuts for the health of the nation.
An infographic is a visual representation of information. It’s often used to break down complex and large quantities of information so it’s easier for the reader to understand. The WG infographic (seen below), which shows how eating more fresh fruits and vegetables is the first line of defense against obesity and chronic disease. The infographic reflects Western Growers’ motto: “We grow the best medicine in the world.”
