Potato Webcast Covers Soft Rot, Black Leg Disease Management
The Plant Management Network launches a new presentation in its Focus on Potato webcast resource.
No curative treatments for bacterial black leg, soft rot, and stem rot are available to growers. On top of that, no resistant potato varieties are available, either. Best production practices are a grower’s best tool to combat losses from these diseases.
In the latest ‘Focus on Potato’ webcast, titled “Soft Rot and Blackleg Diseases of Potato,” Amy Charkowski, associate professor of Plant Pathology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, helps users control these problems in potatoes through cultural practices in the lastest Focus on Potato Webcast.
