How To Convert A Pine Tree Planter Into A Citrus Tree Planter

Lykes Bros. Citrus has adapted a pine tree planter to plant citrus in its groves in Florida. Hal Duncan says the planter relies on GPS technology from Trimble to ensure straight rows and proper spacing. The technology is cutting the costs of planting from $1.80 to $2.00 per tree down to 50 cents to 75 cents per tree. And it’s fast, planting up to 3,000 tree per day.
