How To Gain Insight On Florida’s New Citrus Planting Incentives

During this year’s Florida Citrus Industry Annual Conference, Mike Sparks, Executive VP/CEO of Florida Citrus Mutual (FCM), told attendees that 20 million trees need to be re-planted to reach pre-HLB production levels. He drove this point home while reviewing new Florida citrus planting incentives.

Now there are a handful of public and private programs available to help nudge growers to plant trees.

FCM, along with the regional growers groups, has organized three seminars to discuss FDACS’ Grove Renovation and Abandoned Grove programs as well as the USDA’s Tree Assistance Program.

According to FCM, representatives from FDACS and the USDA will be on hand to discuss every aspect of the programs and why you should take part.
