Justin Sorrells Joins GenNext Growers Advisory Council

justin-headshotJustin Sorrells, the chief operating officer of Sorrells Citrus Inc., has been named a Founding Member of the Advisory Council of the GenNext Growers™ initiative.

Sorrells Citrus Inc., has been operation since 1940. Sorrells oversees 5,500 acres of orange groves and harvests 5.5 million boxes of oranges annually.

He is a three-time president of Peace River Valley Citrus Growers Association, a member of the IFAS Plant Industry Technical Council, Southwest Florida Water Management District Ag Advisory Board, Florida Citrus Mutual Political Action Committee, and is an active member of First Baptist Church in Arcadia, FL.

Sorrells graduated from Florida Southern College with a Citrus Business degree in 2003. He and his wife, Amy, are both lifelong residents of Arcadia and enjoy traveling, entertaining friends and ,of course, college football. Justin is an avid Seminole fan while Amy is a Florida Gator and this combination makes for an exciting Thanksgiving weekend.
