There is no “i” in team, but there is in “achievement.” Without individual leaders, success — in any aspect — would be much harder to find. The Florida citrus industry knows this well. Now 14 years strong, Florida Grower has honored those who have stepped up in serving and supporting the Sunshine State’s citrus sector by presenting the annual Florida Grower Citrus Achievement Award.
Sponsored by Chemtura AgroSolutions, the Citrus Achievement Award is presented to an individual grower, allied member, Extension agent, legislator, researcher, or anyone else who has made, and is making, a difference through leadership, innovation, dedication, and active participation.
To successfully find the right individual, Florida Grower needs your help. Please reach out and let us know who should be the 2014 Citrus Achievement Award winner and why. If you have someone in mind and are interested in submitting a candidate for consideration, there are several ways to do so.
1. Fill out the form below and click submit.
2. eMail/Phone: Contact Editor Frank Giles
(email@example.com or 407-539-6552, ext. 12) and let him know what you think.
3. Snail Mail: Send a nomination to Florida Grower at 1555 Howell Branch Rd., Suite C-204, Winter Park, FL 32789 with the name, contact information, and why your nominee deserves to win.
After all nominations have been received (deadline is March 30), they will be vetted by an esteemed selection committee featuring several past Award winners. From there, an overall winner will be chosen, announced, and featured as Florida Grower’s June issue cover story. The award will be presented during the Florida Citrus Industry Annual Conference in June.
We appreciate your time and look forward to your response in helping honor a deserving individual in Florida’s citrus community.
The nomination period has closed.
