Ag Innovations Conference Covers Invasive Pests And Diseases

The Ag Innovations Conference, to be held at the Santa Maria Elks Lodge in Santa Maria, CA, on March 26, will cover a variety of topics including how to face the challenges of invasive pests and diseases. The conference also will hone in on the role of microbial biopesticides in pest control and promoting plant health, greenhouse strawberry production in Europe, the mechanization of specialty crop harvesting, precision robotics for increased specialty crop yields.

Microbials and BioDirect technologies in vegetable production, vertical farming, GIS Toolbox, improving crop yields and food safety, farm sustainability through Harvest-to-Harvest, and DNA and RNA Multi-Scan for quick diagnosis of plant diseases will also be discussed.

Spanish interpretation will also be provided by the Environmental Training Center, Hancock College.
