Dr. Joe Noling, a UF/IFAS nematologist, is a leading authority on nematode management and has worked with growers across the state to help them identify and manage the problem on their farms. During the 2014 Florida Ag Expo, Noling will bring this expertise to the educational program.

Noling’s presentation — “Effective Nematode Management: New Considerations Of Vertical Distribution, Fumigant Placement, And Soil Factors” — will cover a number of topics, including:

  • Understanding constraints to fumigant movement in the bed
  • New technologies for studying vertical distributions of nematodes within the soil profile
  • Unique deep shank and drip application technologies for soil fumigants to aid in improving nematode control.
