Vintage Nurseries Now Offering Valley Pearl Variety Table Grape

The California Table Grape Commission has licensed Vintage Nurseries as one of only three nurseries to carry the popular new Valley Pearl variety table grape. Vintage, North America’s largest grapevine nursery, reports that its 2014 supply of Valley Pearl mist-propagated, own-rooted potted vines is nearly sold out. Shipping of this first batch is scheduled for summer.
These mid-season, green seedless grapes produce and pack extremely well, exhibit firm fruit texture, and have a neutral sweet flavor. They are warm-weather grapes, grown primarily in the San Joaquin Valley, where dry, hot summers are the norm. Highly productive with spur pruning, the grape is also one of several being developed by USDA for resistance to powdery mildew.
