Pruning Demo Held in Pennsylvania

Penn State University Extension will present a pruning demonstration for orchard owners and employees, presented in Spanish and English. The demo will be held on March 1 from 10 a.m. to noon at Scholl Orchards in Bethlehem, PA.

Topics include:

  • Pruning tall spindle trees at various tree spacings
  • Simplified pruning and training strategies – “pruning by the numbers”
  • Economic impacts based on yield and fruit size
  • Improved opportunities for use of automation and precision management technologies

Preregistration is encouraged.
