The Chinese government has agreed to import more energy and agricultural commodities from the U.S., according to updated reports from Reuters.

This new announcement is said to aid the $335 billion trade deficit the U.S. has with China.

Reuters reports the state-run Chinese Xinhua news agency says the joint statement released by the two countries as “vowing not to launch a trade war against each other.”

Reuters also reports the joint statement was ambiguous in addressing the Trump administration’s interest in intellectual property protections.

Also, Reuters says the joint announcement does not detail exactly what commodities will be impacted by the increase in Chinese imports. However, the release says the U.S. will be sending a team of representatives to work out the details.
