The National Strawberry Sustainability Initiative (NSSI) is seeking input from growers and others in the industry via a nationwide survey. The NSSI is a collaboration among 13 universities conducting research and Extension programs to advance sustainable strawberry production. It is supported by a USDA Specialty Crop Research Initiative planning grant and administered by the Division of Agriculture’s Center for Agricultural and Rural Sustainability.
Strawberry growers, managers, nursery operators, advisors, and Extension educators are encouraged to take the nationwide survey, which should take just 10 to 15 minutes. The survey will remain open until Feb. 10, 2017.
Results of the survey reportedly will be used to develop continuing research, outreach, and education programs designed to increase sustainable production and supply of strawberries.
