Woman Charged With Embezzling Money From California Wine Company

A Hidden Valley Lake, CA, woman has been charged with embezzling more than $341,000 from her former employer, Rutherford Wine Co., according to a news report from the Napa Valley Register.

Xandria Roxanne Neal, who worked at the wine company as an accounts receivable clerk, faces up to 28 years in prison for 29 counts of embezzlement with special allegations.

According to the news report, Neal is accused of allegedly using a company credit card to purchase gift cards to pay for vacations, household and entertainment expenses. She is believed to have created false invoices so that the invoices would appear valid.

Napa County sheriff’s deputies recovered iPads, receipts, and gift cards purchased with the company’s credit card at Neal’s home. She admitted to the thefts, according to court documents.
