The only agricultural event dedicated entirely to almonds, the Almond Conference and trade show will be held Dec. 6-8 at the Sacramento Convention Center.

Almond Board of California (ABC) has incorporated a variety of topics for growers, processors, and allied industry members. The year’s conference will also include breakout sessions that focus on production research, marketing, food safety, regulatory issues, and other key areas of growing almonds. Featured symposiums at the Conference will include:

  • State of the Industry, including updated statistics from Land IQ
  • Precision Irrigation Management: What’s Now and What’s New
  • Tree Physiology: How Does an Almond Tree Grow?
  • Almond Coproducts – Everything but the Nut: Utilizing Hulls and Shells
  • Biomass: Tree Removal – Research and Policy

The symposiums have two goals: first, to provide almond industry members with research-based solutions that are immediately applicable to their operations, and second to explain and demonstrate practices for growers and processors to use that will benefit the California almond industry for years to come.

“Attending The Almond Conference gives attendees the opportunity to learn about the innovations happening in the almond industry,” said Van Soetaert, chair, ABC Industry Services Committee. “The Conference is structured for growers and industry members to hear about new technology and research advancements over three days. They can then return to their operations refreshed and ready to apply what they learned from the sessions.”
