Patent Granted For Traceability Tool

VirtualOne, a Plant City, FL-based technology company focused on solving traceback issues for the produce industry, has received a patent for its FreshQC Unit Level Traceability process. This system is designed to help growers and packers in their efforts to respond to upcoming Product Traceability Initiative (PTI) regulations.

Through the FreshQC process labeling each individual package, growers are able to trace the case and the unit back to each unique harvester. In addition to the PTI Compliance, FreshQC offers a high level of consumer feedback.

“Consumers are the ultimate customer and the FreshQC system has allowed us to continuously increase efficiency and become a better company,” said Gary Wishnatzki, president and CEO of Wishnatzki Farms.
