Annual Santa Maria Vegetable Meeting To Cover Progressive Plant Growth

The University of California Cooperative Extension’s Strawberry and Vegetable Crops Advisor, Surendra Dara will host the Annual Santa Maria Vegetable Meeting on Tuesday, Sept 23, 2014 from 8 a.m. to noon.

The meeting will cover potential new use of entomopathogenic fungi in nutrient and moisture conservation and promoting plant growth, important lettuce diseases and their management, automated thinners in vegetable production, and potential new tools for weed management

The information will be presented by the University of California farm advisors, Cooperative Extension specialists, and representatives from the Santa Barbara Agricultural Commissioner’s Office.

Located at the Bonipak Conference room, 1850 West Stowell Road in Santa Maria, the meeting is free, and lunch will be provided.
