Biocontrols 2015: Exhibition Sneak Preview

Forty-two exhibitors will educate attendees about their products and services at next week’s Biocontrols 2015 Conference & Tradeshow in Fresno, CA. Here is a glimpse at some of the companies and products that growers and pest control advisers will be learning about on the tradeshow floor.

Adjuvants Plus Inc.

Adjuvants Plus, which creates and patents or licenses novel products for use in agriculture and horticulture, will be featuring a few products at Biocontrols 2015. C-Wet microencapsulated adjuvant is used in a tank mix or in the formulation with dry biostimulants or biopesticides. EndoFine and EndoFine Express are used for improvement of crop growth and yield. DONguard (in registration) is used for the prevention of fusarium head blight of cereals, and has shown promising results in research.

Growth Products

Companion Liquid Biological, manufactured by Growth Products, contains the exclusive GB03 strain of Bacillus subtilis, a naturally occurring beneficial microbe that controls and suppresses a wide range of foliar and soil-borne plant diseases such as powdery mildew, leaf blight, rust, damping off, dollar spot, and more.

Companion has multiple modes of action. GB03 produces a broad-spectrum antibiotic that disrupts pathogen cell-wall formation, and it stimulates a plant’s natural immune system (ISR). A competitive and fast-colonizing rhizobacterium, GB03 also crowds out pathogens to prevent their growth and antagonistic effects. It is used as a stand-alone treatment and also in combination with other fungicides creating a synergistic affect, while reducing the opportunity for disease resistance with conventional fungicides.
