The 2018 State of the Vegetable Industry Survey Is Now Open!
American Vegetable Grower® is assessing the health of the vegetable industry, and we need your help to get an accurate reading.
Each year, we check in to see how everything from production to labor is going. Not only do we share the results with you in our January edition of American Vegetable Grower magazine, but your information guides our team, helping us prioritize the issues that are most important to you. With the information you share, we can track down experts, seek solutions, and deliver tools to help you do what you do best.
Specific information you share will be held in confidence, but will give us a window into how the industry as a whole is faring.
What We Learned Last Year
In our last State of the Vegetable Industry Survey, we learned that a whopping 61% of U.S. vegetable growers endured an extreme weather event. Was this year any better?
We also learned that vegetable growers in the western half of the U.S. had a higher increase in production than those located East of the Mississippi. Have the tables turned this year?
Last year, we took a closer look at how different U.S. regions compared to one another. Here a just a few things we learned about growers from the West Region (CA, MT, NV, UT, WY, AK, and HI):
We Invite Everyone to Participate
The State of the Vegetable Industry Survey isn’t just for growers. Researchers, suppliers, and others associated with the vegetable industry have questions specifically designed for them.
Please take the survey and submit your thoughts and comments by Saturday, Nov. 11.
Thanks in advance for your thoughts on the state of our industry!
