California Processing Tomato Growers Produce A Record Crop

California processing tomato growers produced a record crop this year in spite of the drought in the state, which has impacted production for other vegetables.

According to Bloomberg Businessweek, the California Tomato Growers Association reported an estimated 14 million tons of processing tomatoes were harvested in the Golden State this year. This is reportedly the largest crop ever and up 16% from last year.
