Two Companies Receive Awards In Hottest Tomato And Perfect Pepper Competitions

Mastronardi Produce’s Sunset Mini Kumato tomato was named the People’s Choice Award for Tomatoes for at the annual Hottest Tomato Competition, hosted by R.E.A.C.H. International. Mini Kumato is a bite-sized grape version of Sunset Kumato Simply Unique Brown Tomato.

Nature Fresh Farms was recognized at the Hottest Tomato and Perfect Pepper Competition for:

Best Overall Hothouse Tomato
Best Beefsteak Tomato
Best Specialty Tomato, Yellow Grape (Sweetest)
Best Yellow Sweet Bell Pepper
Best Roma Tomato

Also at the Hottest Tomato and Perfect Pepper Competition, Mastronardi Produce was awarded:

Best Cocktail Tomato for Sunset Kumato Simply Unique Brown Tomato
Best Cluster/TOV for Sunset Loomato Heirloom Tomato
People’s Choice Award; Sunset Sweet Twister Pepper
Best Orange Pepper; Sunset Orange Bell Pepper

R.E.A.C.H. International, a locally-funded charitable organization, hosts the event each year. The net proceeds from the event will be used for R.E.A.C.H.’s main project in Uganda, Africa.
