Johnny’s Selected Seeds offers varieties with flavor. A wild arugula, #108 Discovery boasts a pungent taste with a hint of sweetness. Its bright green leaves make it a great display.

An acorn winter squash, #689 Honey Bear, was a 2009 All-America Selections winner. Weighing 1¼ pounds, this variety is just right for single servings and has a starchy and sweet taste.

Also getting high marks for taste is #175 Smarty. This small, sweet red grape tomato is flavor-filled with an excellent texture and little to no cracking.

Another offering from Johnny’s is #120 Bush Baby, a miniature zucchini summer squash that is ready to harvest at 4 to 6 inches in length. Fruit is glossy and medium dark-green with stripes.
