Whole Foods Gives Oregon Blueberry Grower A $114,000 Loan For Expansion

Hood River Blueberry is the recipient of a $114,000 loan to help expand its packaging line and purchase a new refrigerated delivery truck, which hopes to double efficiency and enhance quality.

In a story from The Portland Business Journal, the family owned and operated organic farm, established by Pall Escoe, supplied more than 300,000 pounds of organic berries this year.

The loan to Hood River Blueberry in Hood River, OR, is one of many businesses benefitting from Whole Foods Market’s $25 million in low-interest loans to local growers. This is Hood River Blueberry’s second loan from Whole Foods.
