The Hill reports the USDA has lifted the order to stop issuing photos, news releases, fact sheets, social media, etc.
This follows reports from Reuters and The Washington Post a day earlier announcing the ban.
Acting USDA deputy administrator Michael Young told The Washington Post guidances are typical with a change in administration. He also told The Post he did not review the ARS guidance, but in his department-wide memo, press releases and statements must be routed through the office of the secretary to ensure a consistent message.
