Table Grape Growers Step Up Big for California Food Bank
The California Table Grape Commission and Central California Food Bank (CCFB) collaborated on a two-week donation campaign that raised more than $60,000 in October to support food distributions in Fresno, Kern, and Tulare counties.
The funds raised by the campaign will support CCFB Farmworker Community Partnership Program, which brings food and other resources to rural agricultural communities that may not have easy access to other food distributions. The campaign was developed by the commission and CCFB in recognition of California Farmer and Farmworker Month to recognize the hard work of farmers and farmworkers while ensuring communities throughout the Central Valley have access to food.
“The public and California table grape growers gave generously to this campaign,” says Ian LeMay, President of the California Table Grape Commission. “With final donations reaching over $60,000, CCFB will be able to provide more than 240,000 meals throughout these significant agriculture communities.”

To round out the campaign, the Table Grape Commission team volunteered time at CCFB, bagging fresh produce bound for food distribution throughout the Central Valley.
