Department Of Homeland Security To Eliminate No-Match Rule

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) last week published its notice of intent to rescind the Social Security No-Match Rule in the Federal Register.

The rule was due to go into effect Sept. 14 2007, but it was delayed by litigation led by United Fresh along with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, National Roofing Contractors Association, and American Nursery & Landscape Association. The lawsuit alleged that procedures such as an analysis of the law’s economic impact on small businesses, weren’t followed.
