Hit TV Series ‘Farm Kings’ Featuring Freedom Farms Renewed For Fourth Season

After the third season of Great American Country’s original series “Farm Kings” posted double-digit audience gains among ages 25-54, the all-American lifestyle network has renewed the hit show for a fourth season. Scheduled to premiere this fall, the 10 new 60-minute episodes highlight the ups and downs of the King family’s life on a Pittsburgh-area farm as they battle Mother Nature and continue to build their farm-associated small businesses.

In season four, eldest brother Joe King struggles to reinvent the farm’s co-operative crop program, while brother Dan faces a personal dilemma of leaving the family business behind when he leaves home.

In an article in American Vegetable Grower magazine, Joe also talks about why the family opted to do the show in the first place: to change the attitude of the public toward farming. “The reputation of being a farmer isn’t a great one,” he was quoted in the article. “We want to change that. We want to make people proud of what they do.”
