The Northwest Has the Most Growers Under 55 Years Old

Survey respondents in the Northwest are more likely to grow organically, avoid genetically modified crops [GMOs], and more likely to believe in the human impact on climate change, according to American Vegetable Grower magazine’s 2017 State of the Vegetable Industry survey.

But the emphasis is on “most likely.” Nationally, our respondents are not strong proponents in any of these categories. Take a look at this and other features we discovered when we compared the Southwest against other regions.
