What Other Crops Vegetable Farmers Are Growing Now

More than half of respondents to American Vegetable Grower’s 2025 State of the Vegetable Industry survey reported that they also grow non-vegetable crops. Of the 484 growers who participated in the survey overall, 321 answered this question, with blueberries, herbs, and row crops topping the list.

For some growers, these additional crops provide valuable market opportunities or help support crop rotation and soil health.
