BASF Corp. To Distribute Serenade
April 7, 2009 BASF and AgraQuest Inc. have signed a global license, supply, and distribution agreement for AgraQuest’s flagship product, bio-fungicide Serenade (Bacillus subtilis). The deal will allow BASF to distribute Serenade products.
Serenade provides growers with a unique solution for unmet needs in the food production value chain as an effective fungicide and bactericide which can be sprayed shortly before harvest. It also works as a fungicide resistance management tool, and was recently added to the Fungicide Resistance Action Committee’s list of approved products. In addition, Serenade is exempt from residue tolerances.
BASF will distribute two ready formulations, the liquid Serenade ASO and the wettable powder Serenade MAX.
