MANA Announces Leadership Changes

Makhteshim Agan Industries (MAI), parent of MANA Crop Protection, has announced changes in its global operations.

Changes in MAI’s North American operations include the creation of the Americas Region, which will include MAI’s businesses in North and Latin America. MAI will establish offices in Miami to oversee operations in the Hemisphere.

Shaul Friedland, former MAI vice president of global sales and marketing, was named head of the region. Friedland has been with MAI for 32 years in a variety of positions.Reporting to Friedland will be the heads of MANA Crop Protection, U.S. non-crop business, MAI’s Canadian operations, and MAI’s two Latin American businesses.

Musa Givon was named vice president of the Americas and will lead the MANA business unit on an interim basis. Givon is a former president of MANA. In his last position he was deputy vice president of global sales and marketing and chairman of Makhteshim Agan India, Thailand, Japan, Korea and South Africa.

John Rabby, president of MANA, has announced his retirement. He will continue to provide consulting services to the company. A new head of MANA will be appointed over the next few weeks. The creation of the Americas region will enhance the company’s focus on its U.S. agricultural business and other operations in the region. MANA will continue to develop and retain the best possible people, strengthen its product portfolio, and offer a broad product portfolio to best address the diverse needs of its customers across the region. These changes follow other recent strategic acquisitions and product introductions that improve MANA’s position and future growth in the U.S. agriculture and non-agriculture markets.
