New Tolerances For Movento Insecticide
September 17, 2009 Bayer CropScience has gained tolerances for Movento (spirotetramat) insecticide from the CODEX Alimentarius Commission and the European Union. CODEX and the European Union have established Maximum Residue Limits (MRLs), for Movento on vegetables and a variety of other crops.
These MRLs allow U.S. growers to treat their crops with Movento and export them to countries that adhere to CODEX and European Union standards. Additionally, Bayer CropScience continues to pursue MRLs for additional crops not covered in the first publication and tolerance establishment in other key countries such as Japan.
Movento insecticide has two-way systemic activity, moving both upward and downward within plant tissue. The product protects against a broad spectrum of sucking insects such as aphids, whiteflies, and many more.
