Cutworms and flea beetles are two early-season pests that can infect vineyards in the East, according to a Michigan State University extension bulletin.

Growers with light-textured soils and weedy vineyards are at most risk for cutworm. Growers need to monitor vines in bud swell for these pests as temperatures increase.
