Participate Now in the 2026 State of the Fruit Industry Survey

It’s not an easy question to answer these days, but we ask it anyway in American Fruit Grower’s annual State of the Fruit Industry survey: What was your most rewarding experience as a farmer last year?

If you have to think about it for a few minutes, that’s totally understandable. There’s been no shortage of flak to fly through these days. Please take whatever time is needed after clicking HERE on our survey link. We’re confident you’ll think of something, such as these already-submitted responses from your grower peers:

  • “3,500 cars entered the orchard. Everybody leaves happy.”
  • “Seven weekends without rain on PYO farm.”
  • “Best apple crop in 10 years.”
  • “Getting a 95 score from Wine Enthusiast for our organic Pinot Noir grapes made into wine.”
  • “Getting a grant to update our gift store/kitchen.”
  • “I finally had a great crop of apricots! Waited my entire life for it.”
  • “My plum sales reached an all-time high. Good crops of both Japanese and European plums.”
  • “The crew picked our ReTained Gala with particular care to keep the stems on. Those bins were more expensive to pick, and we don’t know if packouts will be better, but, oh, how beautiful those bins were!”

So, there you have it — a packout of good news in its own right. In turn, we at American Fruit Grower will be able to spread the word by following up on some of those stories in future print issues and here on GrowingProduce.com. It’s a win-win for everyone that can take a bite out of all the bad news.

We look forward to hearing from you in our 2026 State of the Fruit Industry survey.
