The Farm Labor Supervisor Training Program developed by the University of Florida’s Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Southwest Florida Research & Education Center aims to ensure farm worker supervisors do just that. The course hits on proper wage and hour rules, field safety, transportation, housing, and personnel management standards.

According to UF/IFAS Agricultural Economist Dr. Fritz Roka, all agricultural operations should provide a comprehensive training program for their crew leaders and supervisors, for a number of reasons:
