Bill Gates being interested in the global idea of food security is not new. The Gates Foundation has close ties to Warren and Howard Buffet, the son is a farmer who wrote a book called “40 Chances”, about the need for global Ag to pay attention to soil health. As a matter of fact in the first quarter of 2014 the US Secretary of Agriculture held an online webinar that featured Howard Buffett and Bill Gates, discussing how important healthy soil will be to Ag production in the future, also announcing the Department of Agriculture’s broad focus on soil health as an agency priority. about 6 months ago I saw an interview with and economic pundant on one of the financial channels making the point that super high wages were consolidated in the financial sector over the last 30 years and in his opinion the next 30 years the high wages will be found in the AG sector. Investment in Ag properties in general are up all over Florida. I’m certainly happy to have the opportunity to represent a company with products that contribute to the long term growth and health of the Ag Industry of Florida.

Robert, I would like to echo your comments. The health of a nation’s soil is an indication of the nation’s overall health. Judging by the lifestyle of US residents, we have some work ahead of us. I too am proud to be associated with a company who’s primary focus is on recycling animal waste into organic fertilizer for use by both organic growers and conventional growers alike. Ultimately, every farmer must work to improve the health of his or her land.
