Disk Harrow

The new Sunflower 1435 Series disk harrow from Agco Corp. offers more stability, better penetration, and more effective disc scraping for smoother and more efficient operation in the toughest field conditions. Small improvements in materials eliminate traditional service points, while design refinements make other components easier to service than before. A list of options, from heavy-duty walking tandem wheels to hydraulic self-leveling and a choice of finishing attachments, lets customers select the package that best suits their needs.

The Sunflower 1435 Series offers seven models ranging from 20-feet-and-7-inch to 35-feet-and-10-inch field widths, folding to less than half that for transport.

Weather Station Module

Topcon Precision Agriculture’s X20 Weather Station module incorporates a combination of sensors — ultrasonic, temperature, and humidity — to record and report on important weather conditions. The new Weather Station provides continuous weather monitoring to the X20, enabling the operator to view weather data while performing any agricultural application, from tilling to harvesting. With integrated mapping, weather and coverage maps can be recorded, printed, stored, or transmitted by e-mail as permanent records.

According to Rhett Schildroth, precision agriculture product marketing manager, “The Weather Station measures apparent wind speed and direction, air temperature, and relative humidity. Wind speed and direction are calculated and recorded with the integrated X20 Guidance module connected to a GPS receiver.”

Utility Vehicle

Kubota Tractor’s new RTV1100 with Premium Grand Cab is the first-available utility vehicle engineered for all-weather protection with a factory-installed cab, standard air conditioning, heater, and defroster. The RTV1100 features a three-cylinder, 24.8 hp Kubota diesel engine.

Available in worksite and recreational models, the heavy-duty RTV1100 also comes standard with Variable Hydrostatic Transmission (VHT), power steering, sturdy front guard, four-wheel wet-disc brakes, hydraulic bed-lift system, and more than 1,100 pounds of cargo-load capacity in the 16-cubic-feet bed. The VHT allows for quick acceleration, optimum traction, aggressive hill-climbing power, and smooth downhill rides.

The RTV1100 also meets OSHA 1928.53 and SAE J2194 Roll Over Protection standards. Additional safety, comfort, and convenience features include retractable seatbelts, a large and accessible under-seat storage area, padded headrests, and premium cloth seating.
