Data Dump: U.S. Pistachio Sector Sets New Record

According to the latest shipment report from the Administrative Committee for Pistachios, total kernel shipments for the complete 2025-2026 season (September–August) reached 125.2 million gross pounds, the highest full-season pistachio kernel shipment total on record. The 2025-2026 total exceeded the 2024-2025 full-season figure of 123 million gross pounds by 2.2 million gross pounds (+1.8%) and surpassed the 2023-2024 on-year total of 119.7 million gross pounds  by 5.5 million gross pounds (+4.6%).

Combined pistachio kernel supply capacity reached 67.5 million pounds at season close, up 5.9% from the last on-year cycle. Against the five-year average of approximately 108.3 million gross pounds, full-season shipments finished higher by 16.9 million gross pounds (+15.6%).
