Apollo

A new pumpkin hybrid in the Aladdin size class, Apollo provides the added benefit of a larger stem. This variety also has round, attractive dark-orange fruit that averages between 20 and 30 pounds. Apollo’s plant has intermediate resistance to powdery mildew, and seed from Rispens Seeds, Inc. will be treated with FarMore seed technology.

EX 7143

EX 7143 is a new bicolor supersweet hybrid very similar to Obsession, but with added high resistance to common rust. Like Obsession, EX 7143 matures in 79 days, has a strong plant, high yield potential, very good eating quality, and is suitable for shipping or roadside sales. In trials we’ve noticed significant yield advantages of EX 7143 in comparison to similar hybrids.

Fascination

Formerly trialed as RWT 8230, Fascination is a new seedless watermelon with intermediate resistance to Fusarium wilt races 0, 1 and Anthracnose race 1. The fruit are uniform, large (17 to 21 pounds), blocky, and have a rind similar to Tri-X 313. Consisting of a deep, rich-green skin with a medium Crimson Sweet stripe, Fascination has a relative maturity of 85 days and is also available in the Full Count program.

Lady Finger

Lady Finger is a new and very unique hybrid tomato with incredible taste and high Brix. Semi-indeterminate plants set elongated fruit that are 2 to 2½ inches long, with a relative maturity of 75 days from transplant. There is nothing like this tomato on the U.S. tomato market at this time.

Pinnacle

Pinnacle is a new Vegetable Spaghetti that will supply your customers with a better and more profitable product. With a semi-bush plant habit, it allows for higher plant densities and greater yields per acre. The fruit ripen to an appealing bright yellow color and the internal quality is excellent.

Spineless Perfection

Spineless Perfection is a new disease resistant version of Spineless Beauty, with intermediate resistance to zucchini yellows mosaic virus, watermelon mosaic virus, and powdery mildew. Plants have spineless petioles for less fruit damage during harvest with a vigorous, open, and upright habit for easy picking.

Summer Sweet ®
MultiGlow™ 7112R

This variety is a new bicolor Sh2 that combines outstanding eating quality with high resistance to common rust and intermediate resistance to northern corn leaf blight and southern corn leaf blight. Maturing in 74 days, this variety works well in the main season or under high disease pressure in the late season. 7112R has eating quality on par with the best hybrids currently available.

Sweet Surprise

We continued to see outstanding and consistent performance from this 75-day bicolor SuperSweet in 2010. Our growers commented about the uniformity and high yield potential they experienced with this hybrid. With a strong plant, beautiful husk appearance, and excellent eating quality, Sweet Surprise works well for fresh market stands or shipping wholesale. We expect good seed availability for 2011.

Viper

This gynoecious cucumber provides cylindrical, dark-green fruit with excellent quality and high yield potential. Viper has a very vigorous plant with multiple disease resistance, including (but not limited to) papaya ring spot virus, watermelon mosaic 2 virus, zucchini yellows mosaic virus, and cucumber mosaic virus. Viper matures in 60 days.
