Florida Citrus Crop Forecast Back On Track

USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) has announced it will publish information in the November 8 Crop Production report that was originally scheduled for release in October. This includes indicated 2013-2014 production forecasts for Florida citrus as of November 1.

The initial Florida citrus outlook, which was scheduled for Oct. 11, was delayed due to the government shutdown. Normally, USDA makes its first Florida citrus crop estimate in October of each year and revises it monthly as the crop takes shape until the end of the season in July.
