Four Named To Florida Citrus Commission

Gov. Charlie Crist announced the following reappointments and appointments to the Florida Citrus Commission. The appointees still have to be confirmed by the Senate next session.

  • Everett “Stan” Carter, 71, of Vero Beach, citrus division manager with McArthur Farms Inc., reappointed for a term beginning Aug. 4, 2010, and ending May 31, 2013. He will represent district three as a grower member.
  • Michael O. Taylor, 63, of Naples, vice president of the agriculture division with Collier Enterprises Management Inc., reappointed for a term beginning Aug. 4, 2010, and ending May 31, 2013. He will represent district two as a grower member.
  • Jesse “Jay” Clark, 66, of Wauchula, owner of Jay and Linda Clark Groves, succeeding Ben Albritton, appointed for a term beginning Aug. 4, 2010, and ending May 31, 2011. He will represent district two as a grower member.
  • James S. Horrisberger, 58, of Lakeland, North America Procurement Director with The Coco-Cola Company Minute Maid Unit, succeeding Michael Haycock, appointed for a term beginning Aug. 4, 2010, and ending May 31, 2013. He will represent district one as a processor member.
