New Application For Fungicide

Valent U.S.A Corporation has announced that it has received registration for drip applications of Presidio Fungicide (fluopicolide) on bassica, cucurbits, and fruiting and leafy vegetables in California.

This newly registered form of application gives vegetable growers in California the ability to effectively prevent and control downy mildew and stop Phytophthora blight on contact. Also, the new drip irrigation application gives growers better control of soil-borne diseases, because Presidio trans locates through the plant for complete protection below and above ground.

“By putting Presidio in drip irrigation,” says Gerald Holmes, product development manager for Valent, “you put it right where it needs to be for soil-borne diseases that affect the root and crown.”

Presidio has no known tank mix limitations with other fungicides or insecticides and can be applied via sprinkler or used as a foliar treatment. For best results, apply presidio preventatively prior to infection or disease development.
