April Apple Holdings Report

U.S. fresh-market apple holdings of 49.7 million bushels on April 1, 2013, reflect a 17% increase compared to April 2012 holdings of 42.3 million bushels, according to the U.S. Apple Association. These figures are were 18% above the five-year average of 42.1 million bushels on April 1.

Total processing apple holdings as of April 1, 2013, were 20.4 million bushels, 15% above those on April 1, 2012, and 9% above the five-year average for that date.
