National Peach Council Under New Leadership

The National Peach Council (NPC) is under the service of a new managing director. Kay Rentzel, who currently manages the National Apple Month Program for the U.S. Apple Association, is stepping in to replace Charles Walker, who retired from NPC late last year. Rentzel, who has more than 25 years of experience in the apple industry (including working with the Pennsylvania Apple Marketing Board and Knouse Foods Cooperative Inc.), plans to stay active in both roles. Her responsibilities with the National Peach Council include industry advocacy, crop statistics and reporting, quarterly newsletter publishing, and industry leadership development. Walker had been active with the NPC since 1992, and his accomplishments include launching a peach statistical yearbook in 1999.
