The Mount Family of Princeton, NJ, will celebrate its 40th anniversary at Terhune Orchards this weekend.

Gary Mount, American/Western Fruit Grower’s 2005 Apple Grower of The Year, purchased the 55-acre orchard in 1975 with his wife, Pam. Since then, he and Pam have been building a community-centered business.

Terhune Orchards has grown through the years, and Pam and Gary’s daughters Tannwen and Reuwai and their spouses have joined the family business.

Son Mark is a sergeant in the Army.

The anniversary and customer celebration weekend includes a behind-the-scenes tour of the now 200-acre orchard and farm, and a reception with popular cider doughnuts to thank customers and the local community.

“We are grateful for our customers support over the years,” says Pam Mount.

There will also be a tasting of Terhune Orchards wine and an art show.

When Mount was named the Apple Grower of the Year, he and Pam talked about how important the relationship between fork and farmer has been to their business.
