New Growth Opportunity? Reservoir Farms Connects With Cornell Ag Experts

Principals of California-based ag tech incubator The Reservoir (parent to Reservoir Farms) announced they are spending part of this week at Cornell University, meeting academic and innovation leaders and deepening a strategic East Coast relationship.

According to a company update from The Reservoir, learning from and connecting with Cornell’s agriculture experts makes sense for future growth. “Cornell brings extraordinary depth in specialty crops, robotics, plant science, and disease detection. The purpose of the visit is simple: to explore how Reservoir’s field-first model and Cornell’s research strength can reinforce one another, and to learn from a community that has been advancing agriculture for well over a century.”

Among those attending from The Reservoir are CEO Danny Bernstein and Head of Business Development Ricky Stephens.

On the docket to meet with includes, Benjamin Houlton, Dean of Cornell’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and Chris Smart, Director of Cornell AgriTech. In addition, representatives from The Reservoir will spend time with faculty across the university, including Manoj Karkee, Yu Jiang, Lynn Sosnoskie, Katie Gold, Chang Chen, and Larry Smart, as well as Gregory Michael Peck at the Cornell Orchard.
