Agro-K Corporation adds Francis Leier to the sales and business development staff of the Minneapolis-based crop nutrition company.
Francis has extensive experience in domestic and global market development in biological fertility products and biological yield enhancers, along with many years of working with crop protection distributors and retailers,” said Chapman Mayo, Agro-K president. “This is a great combination as today’s growers are recognizing more and more how overall plant and crop nutrition impacts their disease management strategies. Francis’ knowledge in this area can help Agro-K strengthen current market channel partner relationships while also aiding our long-term strategic planning.”
As North Central Sales Manager, Leier will be helping Agro-K strengthen distribution in the Dakotas, Minnesota, and Wisconsin, Mayo said.
Prior to joining Agro-K, Leier was Global Business Development Manager and then Nutritional Market Development Manager for Novozymes Technologies. Before joining Novozymes, Leier held several sales and management positions with EMD Crop Bioscience and Novartis Crop Protection.
A native of North Dakota, Leier received his B.S. in Agricultural Economics from North Dakota State University, where he also received export certification.
