Fungicide Receives Supplemental Labeling In Lettuce, Peppers
EPA accepted an expanded label for Dithane F-45 that allows vegetable growers to use the fungicide for control of downy mildew in head and leaf lettuce, and anthracnose, early blight, and phomopsis blight in peppers.
“Lettuce and pepper growers are in an ongoing battle with damaging diseases,” says Adriana Ratterman, portfolio marketing leader for fungicides for Dow AgroSciences. “The availability of Dithane F-45 provides them with an effective control option they can depend on.”
With Rainshield Technology, a combination of surfactants and wetting agents built into the liquid flowable formulation, Dithane F-45 offers rainfastness, redistribution qualities, and plant adhesion.
The fungicide formulation provides broad-spectrum control with no known resistance issues. It also features ultra-small particles that rapidly disperse and enter into the solution. The product is easy to pour, with virtually no dust, and is non-abrasive to equipment.
